PLŪKT Tea Syrup and “Black Tea & Milk” Cocktail
Together with The Botanist Studio we have created festive tea cocktail recipes for this holiday season. This time, we will be using tea syrup made of PLŪKT Nordic Black tea. Syrups are excellent for sweetening cocktails. When pasteurized, they have a long shelf life. They enhance tea flavors, making them ideal for stronger cocktails.
Tea Syrup Preparation
- Brew concentrated tea:
- Nordic Black: 6g tea per 500ml water
- Blossom: 6g tea per 500ml water
- Morning: 2 tea bags per 500ml water
- Let it steep for 15–20 minutes.
- Strain the tea, noting that tea absorbs 15–20% of the water.
- Boil in a pot:
- Add sugar in a 1:1 ratio to the strained liquid (e.g., 400g sugar for 400ml tea).
- Yield syrup (~750ml), pour it hot into a container, and store in the refrigerator.
“Black Tea & Milk” Cocktail
Ingredients:
- Gin (0.0 %): 40ml
- Nordic Black syrup: 20ml
- Lemon juice: 20ml
- Almond milk: 80ml
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice.
- Shake until well mixed.
- Serve in a glass, optionally with ice.
