“Building a business often feels like constructing a house, one brick at a time. For me, that journey started outside of Latvia. As the founder of PLŪKT, an organic herbal tea brand that has found its roots in nature and sustainability, I’ve spent much of my career living abroad, gathering experiences from all corners of the world.
In this process, I’ve worn many hats. But the one that has shaped me most profoundly is the hat of an explorer. Moving beyond my comfort zone, discovering new perspectives, and learning from different cultures has been vital not only for my personal growth but also for the growth of PLŪKT. Every new experience brought a lesson, a challenge, and an opportunity.
In those moments of uncertainty and growth, I looked up to other women who were blazing their own trails. I sought mentorship, asked questions wherever I could, and continuously learned from those around me. These women served as guiding lights, offering wisdom and inspiration as I navigated the ups and downs of entrepreneurship.
This is why being recognized as one of the TOP 20 women in Latvia by Pastaiga magazine, in collaboration with Porsche, feels so surreal and humbling. To stand alongside women I once admired, to now share this platform with them, is a testament to the power of perseverance and staying true to one’s values. It’s an honor that reflects not just individual achievement, but the collective journey we all undertake as women pursuing our passions. What stands out to me is how this recognition goes beyond personal success. It’s about celebrating women who dare to show up as their authentic selves. It’s about empathy, integrity, and a strong belief in the values that guide us. Whether we are from big cities or small villages, no idea is too small, and no dream is too distant. We are limited only by our imagination and mindset.
There’s a profound truth in the idea that one can only be “small” in their mind. If we let go of limiting beliefs, we open ourselves up to a world of possibilities. Our thoughts expand, and in turn, so does the impact we are capable of making. I am proud of all the women daring to break these boundaries, to live their truths, and to pursue their dreams with passion and purpose.
This recognition is a celebration of the collective power of women. It’s a reminder that no matter where we come from or how big our challenges seem, we are capable of so much more than we realize.
